Travel Guide: How to Spend 1 Day in Bali

This travel guide is mainly to give you an idea on how to spend 1 day of adventure in Bali. Spending 1 day in Bali? Yeah, I wouldn’t recommend it but it can be done. This place deserves your presence for at least 3 days. But if that’s a no go or if you are traveling to multiple locations (like we were), you can definitely enjoy a day of adventure in Bali. So if this is your first time visiting my blog, make sure to read Travel Guide: Bali Travel Tips. Also, read What to Wear in Bali.

We enjoyed Bali for 3 days. We took a day and spent some time at the Uluwatu Temple, watched a traditional play and finished our day enjoying some Indonesian BBQ! Really simple.

Our ultimate goal on this Balinese vacation was to relax. Hey, sometimes you need to relax, rest, and repeat. Not only that, but I also got really sick on this trip. I caught a cold, lost my voice, and had a slight fever. We went to the local pharmacy to get medicine and I was better within 24 hours.

Vacation in Bali – 1 Day of Fun

For our vacation in Bali, we booked our tour guide using Viator. The tour included a tour of the Uluwatu Temple, a Kecak dance, a delicious seafood dinner on the beach, and transportation to and from the hotel.

The first half of the day was spent exploring the Uluwatu Temple. Putu was our tour guide. I loved him! He gave us so much history behind the temples and Balinese culture.

Watching the sunset during the Kecak dance was fun and interesting. Be aware that you must read the story in order to understand what’s going on during the dance. I got lost at some point, but it was still fun.

Our night ended enjoying Indonesian BBQ overlooking the beach.

Bali should be a relaxing trip. Our day out at the temple was relaxing and quite an experience. I recommend you spend some time understanding and learning the culture of the Balinese people. You won’t be disappointed.

Make your next international trip, a vacation in Bali! You won’t regret it!

Tour includes:

  • Hotel pick up and drop off in air-conditioned minivan
  • Take in the views at the Uluwatu Temple via Private tour
  • Watch a traditional Kecak and fire dance
